Why isn't BOOM mentioned on home page as an upcoming event??

Well done. I'm interested to see the content be filled in. I like that the site is built on what appears to be a blog engine. The best way to generate content on a site like this is to leave it up to the community.

I'd like to see more discussion topics. Critiques of design being done in the area perhaps? Design as an influencer in a growth oriented area like Raleigh (signage, store front design, design of web sites that educate newcomers about the area, etc).

I agree with Tony - the community aspect would be awesome if we could tap into all the great minds in the Triangle. I like the new site - I liked the other one, but it seemed to be a bit of form over function as is common in our profession - just my .02.

PLEASE list your board members and how to reach them. I have wanted to make contacts for designers twice in the last two weeks and it's as if there are NO people in the organization!

The Events page should have a separate section for local/NC events. It's a pain to sift through the international and national events to find out what's happening locally.
If you don't have enough AIGA local events, then perhaps add notices for graphic related art shows. For instance, Paul Freidrich's current show at Wootini.

I am sorry if this is not the space for information I seek. I am looking for a speaker to come to my 2nd level Graphics class and open eyes to the possibilities.
